... A Story Inspired by a poem

Mystery, folklore, light. PIO's new winter campaign has been brought to life by the photographer Rocío Benavides and documented by the multitasking filmmaker Vegas.

Nature is Benavides's ultimate source of inspiration. She has countless obsessions, particularly regarding trees and the way light changes from one moment to the next, water reflections, and man-made structures in nature. All of these elements play a crucial role in every photoshoot she plans.

Deeply inspired by Anne Sexton poem “Her Kind” and folk stories of the Pyrenees, which revolve around water women, witches, spirits that roam the land and coexist with the living, Rocío tells us a fashion story of mystery, folklore, and light while the muses wander through nature.

Meet The Filmmaker:

Diego, A.K.A. Vegas, is a multitasking, creative soul—a filmmaker and music producer born and based in Madrid. Although most of his career has been in the cinema industry, music and fashion have played a significant role in his journey.

When we asked Vegas to produce a fashion film for PIO's new campaign, he immediately started brainstorming about beats and images. He created an audiovisual piece that would establish a harmonious, slightly dark, and casual atmosphere, aiming to evoke a sense of contrast and duality for the viewer.

The Team:

PIO. and the photographer Liliana Osorio have combined their creative visions in this capsule collab collection, inspired by the power of the language of flowers. Bringing versatile pieces meticulously crafted from natural fibres that evoke feelings of freshness and connection to nature.

The Inspo: From ancient times to today, flowers have been a universal language of emotion, expressing deep feelings and harmony. They symbolise everything from beauty and fertility to the transience of life, and used to convey unspoken messages. Each flower had a specific meaning in the language of flowers.

The Collab: Our collaboration with Liliana Osorio brings a new artistic dimension to this collection. All pieces are adorned with images of natural flowers, meticulously selected and cared for by the photographer, then captured and transformed into exclusive prints.

...A Dialogue Between Fashion And Architecture by Blanca Buisan & Pablitius

Featured in Calle 52 Magazine

About ARCHETYPUS, In Their Own Words:

This editorial aims to concisely showcase the architecture, textures, and light of some buildings in Madrid in harmony with fashion. While seemingly unrelated, architecture and fashion are visual languages with parallel elements like light, form, and colour to address human needs. Both are vehicles helping people move within society and inhabit it comfortably and appropriately for the times. We have chosen a building in Moncloa's neighbourhood in Madrid, simple yet elegant and versatile, similar to the designs of the brand Pio Rio Branco, which has a timeless and genderless touch. Fashion, like architecture, is moving closer to these parameters.
